On the 31st of January 2020, the United Kingdom officially left the EU.
On that day I had been living in London for a year.

To mark (not celebrate) the occasion: two 19th-century German melodies, one of which happens to be the European anthem, radically reinterpreted for guitars, handpumped harmonium, Korg MS20 mini, clarinet and some field recordings collected in London (2020) and Cairo (2018).

Released digitally on Brexit day on Gazer Tapes. Tapes available with two months delay, because it's Brexit innit.

Fuck Brexit, fuck Boris.

Composed, recorded, mixed, and mastered by yadayn in London during January 2020. The guitar and clarinet parts for Johannes were salvaged from a demo recording made about six years ago in Belgium.
